A special newspaper edition for December 7, 1941 (Showa 16) of the Sunday Times announcing the state of war between Japan and the US. The headline shouts “U.S., JAPAN AT WAR.” On the top right it says “Crisis Extra.” The Chicago based Sunday Times was launched in 1844 as the Chicago Evening Journal and is now known as the Chicago Sun-Times.
