Kobe Meiji 1900s Unknown
Matsukage-Murasamedo (松風村雨堂) in Suma (須磨), Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture.

The location is related to the highly-regarded Noh play Matsukaze (松風) by author Kanami Kiyotsugu (観阿弥 清次, 1333–1384). The two main characters are the lingering spirits of the sisters Matsukaze and Murasame, who lived in Suma, where they made salt. They fell in love with a courtier who was exiled to Suma for three years. When they heard of his death they died of grief and remained as ghosts.
