Tokyo Meiji 1890s Kazumasa Ogawa
A view on the Shinbashi (also Shimbashi) bridge and Ginza avenue in Tokyo, sometime between 1882 (Meiji 15) and 1895 (Meiji 28). The wooden bridge over the Shiodomegawa (Shiodome River) was replaced with an iron bridge in April 1899 (Meiji 32). See blog entry.
