70221-0025 - Tango no Sekku

Inside Showa 1920s Unknown
Women in kimono and a young boy are checking out a display of toys for the Tango no Sekku festival. Until recently known as Boys’ Day, it is held on May 5. This card is from a series called “Nihon Fuuzoku” (Japanese Customs). The printing quality is not so good, but the series gives a great view on daily life in Japan during the early Showa Period (1925-1989).
