History print showing Susanoo (須佐之男), the Shinto god of the sea and storms, slaying the 8-headed and 8-tailed dragon Yamata no Orochi (八岐の大蛇). Title of print: Susanoo no mikoto. From Yamato Zakura (國畫史帖大和桜), a jingoistic history textbook for elementary students with prints based on Ukiyo-e masterpieces from the late 19th century, published in 1935 (Showa 10).
