A multinational fleet, including some 17 ships of the British Navy, at anchor in Yokohama Harbor shortly before it sailed for a punitive action during the Shimonoseki Campaign (下関戦争/ 馬関戦争, Shimonoseki Senso/ Bakan Senso) in 1864. Based on a photograph by Felice Beato (1832– 1909).

Published in the Illustrated London News on October 29, 1864 (Genji 1).
