Advertising postcard for the Great Yokohama Exhibition (横浜大博覧会, Yokohama Dai-Hakurankai), an exhibition held at Yamashita Park (山下公園) in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture from March 26 to May 24, 1935 (Showa 10). The exposition commemorated the city’s recovery from the Great Kanto Earthquake (Kanto Daishinsai) of September 1, 1923 (Taisho 12). It attracted more than 3,299,000 visitors. |
