An emissary from Enpuku-ji temple (円福寺) performs a ceremony at Atago Shrine (愛宕神社) in Edo (current Tokyo), 1857 (Ansei 4). The large rice paddle he holds symbolizes abundance. In the back, sailing vessels in Edo Bay can be seen.

This woodblock print is image 21 in One Hundred Famous Views of Edo (名所江戸百景, Meisho Edo Hyakkei), a series created by ukiyoe artist Utagawa Hiroshige (歌川広重, 1797–1858).

It is one of 42 spring scenes in the series.
