Tokyo Bakumatsu 1850s Utagawa Hiroshige

Yakatabune (屋形船), roofed boats used as pleasure boats, pass by Hosei-ji temple (法性寺) at the junction of the Kitajukken-gawa (北十間川) and Yokojikken (横十間川) rivers in Edo (current Tokyo), ca. 1857 (Ansei 4). In the background, Mount Tsukuba can be seen.

This woodblock print is image 32 in One Hundred Famous Views of Edo (名所江戸百景, Meisho Edo Hyakkei), a series created by ukiyoe artist Utagawa Hiroshige (歌川広重, 1797–1858).

It is one of 42 spring scenes in the series.
