Advertising postcard for the Tokyo Industrial Culture Expo (東京産業文化博覧会) held at Ueno Shinobazu Pond in Ueno, Tokyo from September 15 to November 14, 1926 (Showa 1). The expo commemorated that the newspaper Chugai Shogyo Shimpo (中外商業新報) existed for 50 years. The paper was launched as the Chugai Bukka Shimpo (中外物価新報) in 1876 (Meiji 9). It changed its name in 1889 (Meiji 22). In 1946 (Showa 21), the paper changed its name again, to Nihon Keizai Shimbunsha. Japanese text: 産業文化博覧会 9月15日より11月14日 会場 上野不忍池畔 主催 中外商業報社 |
