Advertising postcard for the Great Kyoto Spring Expo (春の京都大博覧会, Haru no Kyoto Daihakurankai) scheduled to be held at various locations in Kyoto from March 15 to May 31, 1938 (Showa 13). The card features an illustration of the five-storied Yasaka Pagoda in Higashiyama. In October 1937 (Showa 12), it was announced that the expo would be postponed. Because of the worsening war situation it was never held. Japanese text: 春の京都大博覧会 昭和13年3月15日から5月31日 会場 圓山公園・岡崎公園・東山七条 東山山麓一帯 |
