Outside Taisho 1910s Unknown

Japanese propaganda postcard featuring a satirical caricature expressing the government’s concerns about the decay of society’s moral values, published sometime between March 1907 (Meiji 40) and March 1918 (Taisho 7).

The illustration shows a rather monstrous hand providing pleasure while another hand is simultaneously about to grab the fruits of labor.

Japanese text: 一方では躍らせ 一方ではつかみ殺す 悪い思想の魔の手!
