The Fukuin Maru, a ship used for missionary work by the American Baptist Missionary Union in the Inland Sea in Japan.

The ship in this image, at the time captained by Ohio, USA born Captain Luke W. Bickel (1866-1917), was used from 1899 (Meiji 32) through 1913 (Taisho 2), when a new larger and more modern vessel was launched.
