Shijo Kawaramachi in Kyoto, towards Shinkyogoku as seen from above Shijo Ohashi Bridge. The photographer stood on the roof of the newly built Yamaha restaurant (now called Tokasaikan), designed by US born architect William Merrell Vories (1880-1964) and finished in 1926 (Showa 1).
