A man prays in front of Narabi Jizo at Kanmangafuchi (含満ヶ淵), Nikko. Jizo is the Buddhist protector of travelers and children. The large statue in the back is Oya Jizo. Oya Jizo and many of the Narabi Jizo were destroyed in a flood in 1902 (Meiji 35).
