Kyoto Showa 1920s Unknown

Members of the Japanese Navy wait in front of Kyoto Station for Emperor Hirohito (1901–1989) on November 10, 1928 (Showa 3). The 124th Emperor of Japan visited Kyoto for the official Enthronement Ceremony (即位の礼).

The ceremony was attended by some 2,000 people, including 92 foreign dignitaries.
