Kobe | Meiji | 1870s | Unknown |
Kobe in Hyogo Prefecture as seen from a location in the mountains, close to where Shin-Kobe Station is located today. Ikutagawa River (生田川) in the center was relocated and in 1871 (Meiji 4) a new road was constructed in its stead. This was named Takimichi (滝道, Waterfall Road). It is now known as Flower Road (フラワーロード). |
