Kobe | Taisho | 1910s | Teijiro Takagi |
Streetcars on what was then called Uramachi in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture. The narrow street in the back behind the right streetcar is Motomachidori. The other streetcar is turning into Nishimachi; the streetcar line’s Motomachi Icchome station was right around the corner. Exactly left of the photographer, Daimaru Kobe would be opened in 1927 (Showa 2). The famous Takagi Photographic Studio was located here during the 1900s through the 1920s. |
