Osaka Showa 1920s Unknown
This postcard from the 1920s shows a streetcar in Osaka’s business district of Kitahama and the local government seat on Nakanoshima, an island sandwiched between the Dojima and Tosabori Rivers. Osaka has already been thoroughly modernized. The red-colored stately building with the orange roof is the Osaka Central Public Hall. Behind it is the Prefectural Library and behind that Osaka City Hall.
