Kobe | Taisho | 1910s | Unknown |
Arimado Road in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture. One of three roads with this name, it connected Kobe to the hot spring resort of Arima Onsen and continued on to Sanda. The road is also known as Arima Kaido or Arima Michi. Built in 1874 (Meiji 7), the road followed an old mountain path. The current National Route 428 basically follows the original route. |
