Kobe | Showa | 1930s | Akanishi Studio |
Looking south down Takimichi Road (滝道), now known as Flower Road (フラワーロード), in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture. Takimichi, literally Waterfall Road, was called so because it followed the former bank of Ikutagawa River (生田川), which was fed by Nunobiki Falls (布引の滝). On the right is the recreation ground built for foreign residents of Kobe. This is now known as Higashi Yuenchi Park (東遊園地). |
