A steam locomotive pulling passenger cars leaves Sannomiya Station, seen in the back, in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture on the way to Osaka. The railroad connection between Kobe and Osaka was opened in May 1874. Sannomiya Station is still in its old location in this photo. It was moved to its current location on October 10, 1931. The old Sannomiya Station was reopened in 1934 as Motomachi Station. |
