Panoramic View on Kobe in Hyogo Prefecture. The photographer stood most likely on the roof of the Osaka Shosen Kaisha building (大阪商船) on 5 Kaigandori, overlooking the roof garden of the Oriental Hotel on 6 Kaigandori, and pointed his camera north-east towards Kyomachi. The three story building in the center was located at 83 Kyomachi. From the second half of the 1900s it housed the office of Jardine & Matheson Co. Ltd.
