Offices and gas storage tanks of the Osaka Gas Company along the Kizugawa River (木津川) in what is now Chiyozaki (千代崎), Nishi-ku in Osaka. The site is currently occupied by the Dome City Gas Building near the Kyocera Dome. Osaka Gas began operations in 1897 (Meiji 30). In 1945 (Showa 20), it merged with 14 other gas companies in the Kansai region, expanding to Kobe and Kyoto. Original text: Grand sigh (sic) of the Osaka gas works near the Kizukawa Osaka. |
