WWII Ruins of Shuri Castle (首里城) in Naha, Okinawa, 1946 (Showa 21).

The castle was almost completely destroyed during combat, but was reconstructed during the 1990s.

In 2019 it was destroyed again when an electrical fault caused a devastating fire.
